There are 3 types of dribbling. For Possession (Turns), Penetration (Beating opponents), and speed (taking space). A portion of the camp is dedicated to covering all of these 3 types of dribbling combined with exercises to decide which type of dribbling fits best in which type of situation.
The team that scores more goals than the opponent wins. Shooting and finishing require not just power but proper contact with the ball and timing.
Short and long-distance passes are important to master and deciding when to pass deep or be patient and build up with shorter passes are key elements of an impact player.
Tactical and Strategic decision making are key factors to successful players and teams. The last day of camp is dedicated to intelligence and how to use the tools we’ve learned to apply them into real game like situations. We teach the Principles of Attack (penetration, support/depth, mobility, width and creativity/improvisation) Principles of Defending (delay, depth, balance, concentration and composure/discipline/patience), Principles of Support (Speed, Distance and Angle), some functional training and much more.
